Welcome Home Wednesday: Fall Flower Boxes

Ohhhhhhh you're half way there, ooohhhh ohhhhh!!! Haha, but seriously, you're half way through this week, only two more days until the weekend!

Today I'm dreaming of flower boxes on this Welcome Home Wednesday. How could I not living in Charleston?!

The reality of it is though that 1. I have a black thumb and 2. it's going to be fall by the time I'm styling window boxes in our (hopeful) new Charleston home.

Black thumb in mind, I would greatly love any and all feedback you have for me on what to plant that is colorful, yet oh so easy! Would you ever do a mix with *gasp* artificial plants if you're like me? Here's some fall inspiration (clearly I'm loving that cabbage plant):

Weekend Recap: Hootie & The Blowfish

Here's to a fresh new week you guys! I have to say I really did not want this weekend to end, but after giving our apartment a good clean on Sunday afternoon, I do feel refreshed going into the week. How about a little weekend recap since it was such a good one?!
Outfit details below

By the way - this weekend is brought to you by my Mother-In-Law because without her coming to stay with us, we never could have had the great experiences we did (and not felt guilt about having someone else with our girl). Thank you Mom/Lala!!! Just another reason why we're so happy to have moved back so close to family and friends :).

First thing's first, on Friday we put an offer in on a house (eek!)!!! We're in that middle ground right now of waiting to hear what's next, but hopefully we'll get things figured out one way or the other this week. Stay tuned to my Insta Stories and Snap (name: ephilli) where I'm sure we'll be sharing first.
This is us submitting our offer as a little family! My Lilly Dress (more outfit details below).

After that craziness, we were excited to have our besties come join us to head just up the street on the island where we live to see Hootie and The Blowfish play. Y'all, my little 90s heart was just oh so happy! Oh and did I mention Sister Hazel even opened for them?! Amaze.
Had to show what was really going on below that photo - I've got a MAJOR Mama's girl on my hands these days!

Sully's Lilly shift // Sully's bow (in photo above) // My Lilly Dress (print sold out, same dress different print) // My Jacks // Mikael's Orange Dress (I like this one) // Mikael's Earrings // Ryan's Button Down // Ryan's Flip Flops // Tyler's Polo

This concert was a must-see for me and Ryan because whenever we were feeling homesick we always would listen to Darius Rucker (particularly Southern State of Mind). While he didn't play a lot of his own music, seeing him and hearing all those Hootie classics felt surreal. We kept saying, "Can you believe we live here?!" all night haha.
Saturday was my kinda day, we played at the pool all day long and then it was Lala/Sully night while Mommy and Daddy went to our favorite, The Obstinate Daughter, with Tyler and Mikael over on Sullivan's Island. Prior to Sullivan's Island, we swung by Isle of Palms where Tyler is staying this week for a conference. I love the islands around us!

I love the drive through Isle of Palms to get to Wild Dunes, the houses are gorgeous!

I wore my favorite Essie Dress and New Bamboo Tassel Earrings on our night out!

Sunday was slow and productive, exactly what we needed after a busy weekend! We took a little minute for our family and had brunch in what we hope will be our new neighborhood at the Old Village Post House.
Sully's Lilly // Sully's Bow // My Dress (sold out, similar on sale!) // My Sunnies

The Old Village Post House is so pretty!

I finally got around to getting Sully to try on the things I bought for her during the #NSale. One thing I bought was a pair of UGGs that really freaked her out at first (also got her this jacket). I think they're going to take a minute for her to get used to, I did order a size up since she's growing so fast (size 6 instead of 5). Mamas who've bought these before, is this normal for her to walk funny at first or should I return them?

Hope you guys had a great weekend as well! Cheers to a great week!

Five on Friday: Stox & Co

Happy Friday you guys!

{ONE}
Stox & Co. I went to a great little event at this gorgeous spa/salon in Mount Pleasant with the Charleston Blog Society. I have always loved Aveda products and this place is just downright relaxing and gorgeous. I booked an appointment right away with Lex and am loving my color and cut! Check out more in the photos below from the oh so talented Gillian of Coastal Bride:
This makeup line is amazing! I bout the un-coverup and this brush is THE COOLEST!

{TWO}
Instagram Stories. They're all the buzz, are you using them? Do you prefer them over Snapcaht? I miss the lenses that make me look like I have makeup on and butterflies on my head ;), but at the end of they day I do have more views on Instagram. This is what I think it will boil down to, at least for bloggers and businesses. You may have seen my Insta story this morning, but here are the three links I was nerding out over:

Would love to hear your opinion - are you going all Insta Stories or staying all Snapchat or a mix? If it's a mix, how are you choosing when to use each one?
{THREE}
Bachelor In Paradise. I admit it, I could not stop watching! (#goawaychad) I even got so engrossed that I forgot about and missed The Hills, ughhhh! Definitely a temp housing negative is no DVR.

{FOUR}
Blonde Dry Shampoo. Listen up blonde friends, you NEED this try shampoo. You know how our roots get a little dark and dingy between washes but the rest of our color is hanging in tight? Well, this dry shampoo puffs in a little color for you, lightening up your roots while adding volume. Buy it here.
{FIVE}
Kiddo Adidas Superstar Original Sneakers. Sully's Auntie Sam bought her these shoes and I put them on Sully everyday. She gets tons of compliments and they match everything, they're just so cute. Highly recommend these Mamas! Sully is wearing a 5 right now at almost 16 months. (excuse the terrible pictures, more to come)
Have a great weekend!

Here's who I'm teaming up with today on this Five on Friday: A. Liz AdventuresCarolina CharmHello! Happiness and The Good Life.

Holding off the urge to pick up some pieces for our new home (which we don't even have yet, ha) is hard work, y'all! :) Especially when we went to the Celadon flea market this weekend (see more details here). We did find one home recently in the Old Mt. Pleasant area and are just discussing options now, so stay tuned, this could be the one!

Weekend Recap (+Beach Baby Photos!)

I hope y'all had a great weekend! And happy August (say whaaa?!). We were quite busy, but very thankfully because it reminded me exactly why we chose to make this move. How sweet is this baby booty on the beach?!
On Friday we popped over to the Isle of Palms to have drinks and dinner with one of our best family friends, Ali (who was visiting from Ohio), and and her bestie Brittany. It was such a nice night out and just so cool that we could easily pop over to another island for dinner :).
Dress (sold out, love this print and the top version) // Shoes (Lilly for Target, dying for these Lillys) // Rose Gold Charleston Rice Beads

Saturday we woke up and packed up the car with the million items it takes to travel with a baby and two dogs and headed to Garden City to see my family who were vacationing at our beach cottage there. I mean, how awesome, right?! I was able to make a day trip to see my family. Pretty great.

Speaking of pretty great, how cute is my baby on the beach? She napped during low tide so we had to work with the few minutes of beach we had left during high tide. We're really going through a "Mama only" phase right now, any tips for us on how to temper only wanting Mama all the time?
Big thank you to my Mom (see her site here) who snapped the above photos of Sully/me!

Sunday was chill with Mass in the morning, a Sully/Mama day and dinner with friends at our apartment. I was so happy to see Ryan get out and play golf again with a good friend too.

Sully and I popped over to Celadon's flea market that they do the last Sunday of every month (stay tuned to their Insta). It was so good! I was dying over all the pieces and NEED a new space to decorate. If you need help with interiors (even from afar) let me know ;), I got such good inspiration!
Bonus round, how cute are these pieces from The Tiny Tassel who I met at the flea market?! I snapped up a ginger jar inspired necklace and some bamboo tassel earrings!
Double bonus (and yes, totally tooting my own horn here, forgive me), check out my most recent post over on The Southern C's blog discussing our favorite white little ghost, Snapchat
