SO Obsessed Sundays!

I've always loved when blogs do a weekly favorite, love or obsession list. And when my good friend at RSVP Greenville announced she was starting Fridays Top Fives, I had to get in on the action!

Welcome to SO Obsessed Sundays ladies and gents...

This first fine SO Obsessed Sunday starts out with these girly, girly songs for you to listen to while you scroll through this list. I'm loving this girl group Fifth Harmony, I started obsessing over their girlitude songs (yes I just came up with that) when I saw them on the Today Show...

1. Girlitude brought to you by Fifth Harmony

2. Job Interview Questions

Ok, boooorrriiinnnggg, I know, I know, but I'm in the heat of interviewing lately and this is my go-to prep list! Pin it, you never know when you might need it. It gets better, I swear!

3. Skinny Dip!

Oh la la, let's talk skinny dipping... SKINNY FUNFETTI DIPPING that is!! Yep, I think I'll just keep this always in my fridge.

4. OMG. Kill Me Now. This Is The. Most. Perfect. Dress. Everrrrrr.

Right? Just look at this perfection from Viva Luxury's blog. Oh and yeah, her entire blog is just perfection x a trillion.

5. A Spot-tacular Pillow!

Pink, animal print and home decore just work, I tell ya. Check this pillow out from Furbish. Did I mention that I'm obsessed with everything from this store? Rawr!

6. Pitty Party, Baby Elephant Style.

And last, but not least, this is how I feel when I cry into my leopard pillow at the thought of answering those interview questions, that the skinny funfetti dip might not actually make me skinny and that I may never own that dress.

(Man, gets me every time, so funny!)

Oh well, just turn up the Fifth Harmony and call me Miss Movin' On!

Happy Sunday y'all!

Mirror, Mirror...

...on almost every one of my walls. I'm a little in love with mirrors. They open up a space, bring in light and are just like big girl glitter. On steroids.

So when it came time to pick out some new nightstands, I knew I wanted something a little heftier and with great storage. And bigger can definitely be beautiful y'all! And glamorous. And fabulous. And old hollywood. And even a bit manly.

Yes, manly. I really have the best hubs, pretty sure he would let me paint our ceilings hot pink and paint the floors chevron black and white if I wanted. So I like to throw him a bone (or antler) every now and then. That's why I took a "his and hers" approach with the decor on our side tables but still incorporated the oh so beautiful quality of mirrored furniture.

I pulled a little inspiration to get me going...

Alright so now I have a plan, time to buy some tables! Ummm woah woah woah, how much???

Mirrored furniture is quite coûteux! (expensive just sounds better in French, doesn't everything?!)

After scouring Target, HomeGoods and my normal culprits, I thought why not check eBay. I really imagined furniture would be quite expensive on eBay (not like shipping pillow inserts), but was surprised to see it's not that bad. That's when I found this set for only $560 for them both, including shipping. Overall mirrored, crystal knobs and storage galore. Sold!

You may have already seen the tables in this post, but here's a little reminder of how they turned out:

Tulips, my great-grandmother's jewelry plate and my favorite books make for a great "hers" table.

Auf Wiedersehen! - Travel Essentials

Tomorrow I am leavin' on a jet plane y'all! And its a long ride, 13 hours, phew!

But I am so excited I can barely contain it!! I'll be visiting Frankfort (the airport at least), Dusseldorf, Wuppertal, Munich and Prague. While I will desperately miss my husband and puppaloos, I am so excited for this Dad/Daughter trip!

I can't help but get a little too obsessed about what I'm going to wear though! So I did what any girl would do... turned to Pinterest. Oh I just found the best inspiration! Aren't these looks great:

I can't help but lust after this beautiful piece of luggage from Kate Spade!

Then I scoured my closet and found that 1) I own a lot of pink and orange (apparently travelers and europeans don't wear a lot of brights) 2) My shoes aren't that comfy for long-time wear 3) Finding easy layers is kinda hard

That's when I turned to Forever21 and Old Navy for some great basics and then did some online shopping for some cute and comfy shoes and additional layers. Here's what I found and think will be perfect for this trip abroad:

TMA Pack3

From left to right, by row.

Swagg Fleece Vest, JCrew Pixie Pants, JCrew Polka Dot Capri Pants, Seven Jeans, Banana Republic Crops, Workout Gear

Lilly Pulitzer Iona Shell, Assorted Forever21 Essential Tops, Forever21 Chiffon Back Sweater, Forever21 Essential Shirt Dress, Shop Hope's Orange and Chevron Top, Swell Fedora

Old Navy Maxi Dress, JCrew Top, Old Navy T-Shirt Dress, Romeo + Juliet Blazer, Assorted Pashmina and Forever21 Scarves

Tory Burch Flats, Michael Kors Sandals, Target Cardigans, Forever21 Belt, Target Wedges, Old Navy 3/4 Sleeve Dress

Coach Cross-body Bag, Target Riffle Paper Co. Notebooks, Frye Boots, Barbour Jacket (with hood), Old Navy Camis

TMA Pack10

I also struggled with footwear that will be cute and comfortable for all the walking, biking, driving and flying I'll be doing. I think these Beach Glass Converse tennies will be perfect!

TMA Pack

Just another angle!

TMA Pack9

Here's my outfit for the plane, I decided on a lot of layers so I can adjust to the temperature and my comfort. I think this fleece vest will be perfect rolled up as a supplemental pillow and the scarf is great as a little blanket if needed.

TMA Pack8

I want to make sure I document this trip and these notebooks are just thing to encourage me to do so!

TMA Pack7

I was planning on using my phone as a camera, but when I saw this Samsung for only $79.99 I decided to scoop it up. I can even upload my photos right to Facebook with wi-fi.

TMA Pack6

Target has the best little travel samples so I loaded up on those too!

I'm a list maker and this site was a big help as well as my above inspiration and laying everything out before putting it in the bag.

I'm hoping to stay connected to my Instagram feed while over there, but if not I"ll definitely do an update on here when I'm back in the states. Auf Wiedersehen!

Oh My Gourd!

You know those funny shaped lamps that are popping up everywhere? Well, they're called Gourd Lamps. And they're fab.

There are single, double or even tripple gourd lamps. But no matter the number of curves, they are always a beautiful addition to your home. They fit in the living room, bedroom and everywhere in between.

Once I realized the name of this new lighting obsession, I started my search for shape, color and the best price of course. Here's some great inspiration I found:

So once I was feeling pretty darn inspired, I started shopping. Here's some resources below. Notice one thing? They're a wee bit pricey, huh?

Then I looked on JCPenny. Again, a surprise source, I know. While I can't find the exact ones that I bought for only $45/piece about three weeks ago, these are pretty well priced at $60.

I'm also loving this metallic gourd lamp from Lamps Plus for only $80.

I decided to order two neutral lamps and place them on my new mirrored side tables in our bedroom (post on those coming soon, don't you worry). You'll notice I took a "his" and "hers" approach so that Ryan and I could each have a personalized side table. I just love how these turned out!
