Lilly Pulitzer Fall 2014 New Arrivals!

It's no secret I'm a Lilly lover through and through and when I started getting the notices of the new line being launched, I couldn't help but stop by my local signature store, Pink Palm, to take a peek myself! And for the record... this has been my favorite line this year, its KILLER y'all!
Here are some of my favorites...
First off are the tanks, I could never ever ever ever have enough of these silk Rory Strappy Camilsoles! They're great to wear with shorts (pictured with the Buttercup shorts below) during the summer and under a blazer or cardigan in the winter. This season, Lilly put a little twist on the straps and prints too which I love!
I tried it on in Sapphire Blue Rollin In the Grass which had awesome Zebra details, but think I might purchase it in the Cameo White Electric Feel print. I'm wearing a medium, but would probably purchase the small because I have the straps almost all the way cinched.
Next up was the Deanna Tank Top Romper in Multi Hot Spot. You all know how much I love rompers from my post here, but this one was just too cute to boot! I have on the medium and honestly might go with a large when I buy it because I like anything that hangs around my thighs and booty to be a little looser - ya fell me ladies :).
I'm a supa fan of a cute and comfy dress you can just throw on and go, and this season Lilly has tons of them. This is one of my favorite styles, the Betty Silk Racerback Tank Dress in Bright Navy Electric Feel. I'm wearing a small below, but would probably get a medium when I go to purchase. I like this one with the wedges I'm wearing, but could also see it with Jacks or even navy tights, a structured jacket and boots for winter.
I have a bachelorette party this weekend for one of my best girlfriends and couldn't help but try on some fancy little numbers that I could see being so fun when we go out during our trip to Tybee Island and Savannah, GA!
The above is the Monica Embellished V-Neck Dress in Sunkissed Pink and let me tell you, this dress is PINK, not neon, but just a very bright, happy pink. In other words, the color is perfection. I'm wearing a 6 but might go for the 8 as it was pretty tight across the bust.

Next up is one of my favorites of the fall prints, New Green Under the Palms. I chose to try it on in the Angel Halter Maxi Dress, but am dying over the t-shirt dress that is pink in the background and of course the Elsa top.
So what do you think, are you as in love as I am? Which item from the above would you purchase first?!

SO Obsessed Sundays - July 27 Edition

Happy (late) Sunday!

Phew, what a crazy fun week its been for me, I hope its been the same for y'all (maybe minus a little of the crazy)! I had my family with me all week visiting from SC and we sure did live it up, so I'm a bit exhausted - look for more to come on that front!

But never too exhausted to talk about a few obsessions this evening!

First, one of my favorite online Facebook boutiques, Prep Obsessed, has some tortoise goodies that I'm lusting over, my favorite little acrylic monogramed jewelry box that I bought the last round, some kitchen utensils that are perfection, some beautiful bow jellies and imitation Jacks if you prefer a less expensive version (I don't have a pair of these yet, but I've heard they are wayyyy more comfy too)!

The sale usually only lasts a night or sometimes until the next day, so hurry while you can. All you have to do is comment sold with your Facebook account along with order details. You will have to include your email if its your first time ordering. They then send you an invoice to your email and you have to pay within 48 hours I think to receive your item. Everything is so cheap its unreal!

Next up, is the JCrew Factory sale going right on now with 30% off new arrivals. I feel like I must redeem myself as I misreported here that my favorite JCrew herringbone vest is back in stock and 20% off. Unfortunately the 20% doesn't work on the vest, BUT it is back in stock AND is actually 30% off! I might have to spring for the camo version this year!

For more ideas on how to wear this wonderful vest, Ashley of Sweet Southern Prep has also written about her love of this wardrobe staple with inspiration photos!

Here are two other favs of mine from this sale - I love wide leg pants for work, and right now the Addison Chino is only $48.50!

This floral cami would be perfect with the navy chinos and a blazer too!

Finally, I had to share this great post from fellow RVA blogger and book clubber, Caroline, from her blog Sweet Caroline. She's starting #100happydays and I love her sentimentality around why its important we all take a moment to realize how blessed we are every day!

It's easy to get wrapped up in trying to take the cutest Insta shot or feeling like we can only post when we have something totally awesome to share, but this social campaign is just for what makes you happy that day. I'm thinking I could use a little pick-me-up and might join along!

So have you done #100happydays? What else are you obsessing over this Sunday?! Hope you all have a WONDERFUL week!!!!

The JCrew Herringbone Vest is Back!

Hi friends, quick little check-in to spread the word that the JCrew Quilted Puffer Vest in  herringbone is back in stock during the Fall Factory First Look. Even better, its 20% off now with code SHOPMORE. I always get so many compliments when I wear mine and have seen many a sad face when friends went to purchase and it sold out so fast. I'm happy to see it back this year though and may just have to snag the camo version this time around!

Obviously, I got lots of wear out of mine last year and I'm positive I'll be wearing it over and over again this year too! It's the perfect weight, so comfortable and super cute with everything.

What else are you craving for fall from the JCrew First Look?!

Pineapples DIY + Fav Finds!

I'm gaga for pineapples these days, but really, who isn't?! I think it strikes such a cord with me because it reminds me of low country, southern hospitality like that you can find back in my home state of South Carolina.
I even made pineapples my unofficial theme for our housewarming party (see party here, invites here) that we had back in May when I was at the peak of my obsession. I wanted to go crazy with pineapple decor for the party, but with new couches and the general expense of a great party, I needed to do something cute and cost effective.
Enter DIY golden pineapples. I snatched three super cheap plastic pineapples off of Amazon, grabbed gold spray paint from the local hardware store and went to town.
They turned out great and added a wonderful splash of fun to the party and are even living on as a centerpiece for our small dining table in the family room.
My other low cost find (at only $6.78 for 3!) were these pineapple lanterns from Oriental Trading too!
Need more pineapple inspiration? Here are some of my favorites!
