Au Revoir, Off to the Southern C Summit!

I'm just SO giddy with excitement right now you guys!!!!

Late tonight I jump on a plane down to Charleston, South Carolina (only my favorite place on earth!) to attend The Southern C Summit with my bestie and fellow blogger Allie

While I'll be a bit silent here on the blog, you can see every moment on Snapchat - @ephilli (and most likely Insta too).

I've been a fan of The Southern C for quite some time when I became addicted to the oh so valuable content they distribute in their weekly newsletters (sign up in the blue box on the right). After connecting with the lovely team at The Southern C, they even asked for me to join as a Contributor to their blog. You can see my first post for them here. This post was also featured on their newsletter.

It's a packed agenda, not to mention I definitely want to fit in time with my other bestie (and soon to be Mrs. bestie) who is having us at her home for the duration of the conference #shesthebest.

And can I make a confession? Y'all, it took me all weekend to pack. We've got an agenda full of fun workouts, conference sessions, amazing dinners and leisurely sightseeing. What's a girl to pack in just a carry on (edit: I am now checking a bag, ha!)?! I followed these posts (here, here, here) to help guide me on what to wear to a conference of this type.

On Day One some of the highlights for me include a class at Barre South, getting my swag bag, the Nightcap at Striped Pig Distillery and the session From Blogger to Brand with some of my all time favorite bloggers:
(who has the most adorable babe Charlie who frequents her Snapchat - @lizadamsss)

After this full day, I'm also meeting up for cocktails with some fellow bloggers at Zero George (coordinated by the lovely Byrdhouse PR), I can't wait!

Day Two jumps right in with networking before sessions and the end of the day's "Cocktails and Conversation". As for sessions this day, I couldn't pick just one I am looking forward to as they all sound so fab, but these two jumped out - Growing and Monetizing your Online Presence (by the founder of Womanista) and Brand Collaborations (featuring BURU, HATCH, Cotton + Quill and my fav Emily McCarthy).

Friday wraps up with detoxing poolside yoga and a brunch at Le Creuset headquarters. I'm so excited to get back to the Atelier! The last time I was there was when they were my client at an ad agency I worked for and I was organizing a photo shoot for an upcoming campaign.

After the Summit wraps, I head to Candlefish with a few fellow attendees for a candle making class. Then Allie and I get to enjoy Charleston until we head to Greenville the next morning to prep for Sully's 1st birthday party!

Make sure to stay in touch (Snapchat - @ephilli, Insta, Facebook + here on the blog in the comments)!

PS: Don't miss yesterday's post which is Round Two in the Pink Door Blog Hop where we announced a discount code and fun giveaway with Design Darling.

Pink Door Blog Hop Round 2: Inspiration Gallery

Hey readers, happy Monday!

I'm back again today along with four other blogger friends to bring you the Pink Door Blog Hop, Round Two. This week we're all showcasing an inspiration gallery for a room in our home that's not yet complete. To see our home tours from Round One, click here. For even more inspiration, visit Attention To Darling on Pinterest

Oh and remember that giveaway I mentioned?! Scroll to the bottom to learn more, plus get a pretty awesome discount code to my favorite home decor shop!

As you might guess from the photo above, I'm sharing inspiration for a powder room. While we rent our home now, you may have noticed in the home tour that I didn't feature bathrooms or our kitchen. Needless to say, they could use some work. Back at our home in Richmond (to see that home, scroll to the bottom of my home tour page), our powder room was nice, but very cookie cutter. I was itching to make it more fun.

Wallpaper for me was a BIG consideration, as was switching out the hardware (faucet, knobs) to brass.

It's kind of crazy how a great wallpaper, paint or other features that pop can distract from plain 'ol ordinary countertops or floors.

Even just adding shelving and cute details can upgrade any space.

Speaking of wallpaper, I am so in love with these recently featured on A Beautiful Mess. I definitely would have taken them into consideration when updating our bathroom back in RVA.
There ya have it folks, hope this brought you some inspiration on this Monday! Don't forget to also hop on over to see inspiration on other rooms from these brilliant gals:

As for that giveaway... stay tuned to learn how you can win $100 to Design Darling, but right now you can get 15% with code PINKDOOR (good until May 31st)!

My Picks: Tory Burch Spring Event (up to 30% off)

How about a little double posting on this here Friday?! Don't forget to check out my 5 on Friday post, but I also couldn't help but share in the Tory Burch Spring Event where you can get up to 30% off with CODE: BLOOM. Pretty stellar %age off for some TB if you ask me.

Here's what I'm eyeing and what I already own and suggest every gal have in their closet. You can click the links below, or scroll to the bottom to shop this post. Enjoy!
1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7

1. I may have bought this cross-body bag during the Shopbop sale, but I'm in desperate need of a new wallet and love that this is a wallet and a cross-body. This light purple color called Orchid is my favorite, but there are three other colors as well (including a really pretty pink).

2. I wear my Jacks to the beach and it wears them out, so I'm going to spring for these to wear in the sand, pool and out and about for summers to come.

3. These are my daily wear earrings, I couldn't live without them! They also come in rose gold which I was tempted to get.

4. You can't tell from the photo but this perfect summer dress is worn off the shoulder, which you guys saw I love here. I'm thinking it would be fun for all the summer brides out there to wear to showers, etc.!

5. I have these wedges in black and LOVE this color called Nutria. I wear them multiple times a week to work.

6. These are probably going to sell out fast you guys. I would have scooped them up if I hadn't just ordered a new pair of monogrammed Jacks during their sale.

7. This is my big wish list item and would be the perfect Mother's Day gift (hint, hint ;)). If I was still in the market for a baby bag, I would choose this as a funky option!
What's your favorite?!

5 on Friday: UNBREAKABLE!

It is Friday y'all and that means another 5 on Friday, can I get a whoop whoop?!

{ONE}
What's with the whoop whoops you may ask?! Weeeellllll... Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is back! That's right, the most positive jokester is back and I couldn't be more excited.

I was addicted to this Netflix series on evenings while on bedrest last year waiting for Miss Sully to arrive. Maybe that's why it is at the top of my Netflix fav list, but it also is written by Tina Fey and is 110% my sense of humor. Go check it out and let me know what you think (I will say I take it a couple episodes at a time, it's a little much all at once).
{TWO}
The Saks Friends & Family Sale. I didn't go into depth on this one like I did Shopbop, but they had a pretty good little selection of Lilly on sale and ya know I can't resist that. I ended up getting Sully this little dress for $33. You even get 8% cash back when you go through ebates, click here to be routed.
I almost got this one too for my future big girl, but resisted :).
I did try out these white Michael Kors jeans as I'm looking for a good pair of white skinnies. They arrived and are COMPLETELY see through! What is with that?! #lame

Let me know if you have a suggestion for solid white jeans under $100.
{THREE}
I am SO incredibly late to this party, but I kinda love rosé y'all. In my defense, when it boomed last year the thought of alcohol made me sick, let alone the fact that I couldn't drink it because I was super pregs or breastfeeding

What's your favorite kind? I've had like two glasses so far, so need some pointers :).
{FOUR}
Confession time. I had Chic-Fil-A delivered to my house. Say whaaa... you heard me right. Postmates is my new favorite app. You order what you want from any restaurant or store (need some tp?!) in your area and then it searches for a driver to order and pick it up for you. Pretty darn cool. Especially for those of us that have sleeping babies, nothing in the fridge and a hubs at work. :)

{FIVE}
Last, but most definitely not least. My baby girl turned one this week. Cry me a river (that's at least what I did on Tuesday)! How did this year fly by so fast?! I am glad I wrote this post though to look back on all the fun times had this year.
Have an amazing weekend you guys! Don't forget to send me your white jeans and rosé suggestions pretty please.

Happy First Birthday Sullivan Louise!

Today you are ONE, time to have lots of fun! Now let's take a walk down memory lane...
On April 18th, 2015, Mommy was feeling as big as a house, ready to pop, wishing her contractions would please just stop.

The news spread fast, Lilly for Target was leaked online. So Mommy and Daddy were up shopping, having a good time.

Yet, on that April 19th, 2015, Mommy knew something still didn't feel quite right. At 4AM she said it was time to go to the hospital, which caused Daddy quite a fright.

Then at 6:05PM you were born into our lives, we were wrapped around your finger the minute we heard your adorable cries. You weighed 7lbs., 14oz. and measured 21" long, my baby girl you're perfect, you're as sweet as a song.
During the first year of your life, you did lots of things big and small. We wrapped you under our wings little one, with us we made sure you would never fall.
You went all the places near and far, you went on a plane, you saw a beach, got a new room and even drove Daddy's car.
And oh the people you met, they were special each one. From Lalas, to Nonnas, to Nanas, to Aunties, Cousins, Uncles, with each one you had so much fun!
In this first year of "firsts", you managed to do it all, from holidays to golf tournaments, no feat was too small. You had your first picture taken at only a few minutes old, you were even a snow bunny out in the cold.
Through all these fun times, you continue to amaze me even more. Big things are coming for you little girl, in this life you are going to soar! Here's to you my mooshoo of many faces, both sad and silly. Happy birthday dear one, now let's go buy some Lilly! ;)
I love you baby angel, thank you for the best year of my life. I don't know what I did to deserve you, but I'm so grateful God chose me to be your Mommy.

Love,
Mama

Pink Door Blog Hop Round 1: Home Tour

Cheers to a fresh new week guys! This is a big one for us with our little lady turning one tomorrow (TOMORROW!). Can't wait to share more with you on that, but for now I'm excited to announce that for the next four Mondays, I'm partnering with four other amazing ladies to bring you the Pink Door Blog Hop! You know, because we all wish we had a pink door to welcome y'all right inside.
We'll be sharing our homes with you, sharing inspiration and so much more. When Annie reached out to me with this idea, I jumped right on board. Y'all know one of my favorite things is decorating and I seriously love these fellow blogger's style - All Things Big and Small, Home of MalonesKids and Cabernet and Simply Clarke
During our first week we're giving a little tour of our homes. I desperately miss my traditional brick and slate Richmond home, but have enjoyed the task of making our little Northern Virginia rental our own.
When you first walk in our (burgundy, unfortunately not pink) door, you enter the living room which spans the width of the house. It's also where Sully and her bff play all day since we do a nanny share. So it's a mix of where we mostly hang out and baby toys. To see a sourcing guide for this room, go here
(PS: See how I keep my white couches clean in this post)
Next is the dining room which might be my favorite room and is conveniently right next to the kitchen. I love this table my MIL re-did from Habitat for Humanity (isn't she so talented?!) and the gallery wall and green sideboard are just so much fun. See where everything is from in the sourcing guide
There are two bedrooms upstairs along with a full bath. The closets up here are tiny and our master includes a door to a full walk-up attic. While the rooms are also small, we were able to fit our king bed and make Sully's nursery work perfectly (lots more details on the nursery coming soon to this blog hop!).
Downstairs is a fully finished basement with two bedrooms, a full bath and a living space we turned into Ryan's man cave. More details on the man cave here
One of the bedrooms downstairs is my office and dressing room. We also put a daybed with trundle in here for guests. It was so fun to have full reign with pinks and girly details, which you can see more of in this post.
The other room is the guest room and has come in handy a lot living so close to DC with so many visitors. To see the DIY on these Ikea hack side tables, go here
There ya have it folks! Stay tuned for more and in the meantime don't forget to hop over to these lady's blogs, plus follow the hashtag #pinkdoorbloghop on Instagram to see more:

All photos via the lovely and talented Liz Fogarty (except for the one in the office with my printer, that I took for this post on the Southern C). You may think these photos look familiar, they wer taken for our feature on Southern Weddings :).

(PS: Coming soon to this little hop... win $100 to Design Darling!)
