Spring Wardrobe Updates with thredUP

Happy Friday folks! In lieu of my normal 5 on Friday post, I'm bringing you Fashion Friday featuring some great Spring wardrobe updates with thredUP!
Have you guys heard of thredUP?! It's pretty darn awesome y'all. It's like your favorite consignment boutique but all online. The items are high-quality, have plenty of pictures, a lot of them name brand (including Lilly and tons of JCrew!) and are great prices, some things up to 90% off. You guys, I got a Milly for Design Nation blouse with tags for $16.99 (orig. $50) and a Joie dress for $75.49 (orig. $378).

There were so many items to choose from, but when I went to narrow down my cart, I thought about the idea of a capsule wardrobe. A slimmed down wardrobe that contains staples, with just a couple seasonal pops. For me, that means an updated, fun LBD and bright blouse for Spring. The key here being that I can wear these items in multiple ways - with tights and boots to transition, or with a blazer or pencil skirt. This mentality helped me focus on what I really need this Spring.

Good picks? Let me know what you think and make sure to check out thredUP for your Spring wardrobe updates!
I have a feeling I'll have the above LBD on repeat this spring for work and for play. I went more with the "for play" look this time, pairing my dress with my favorite Stella and Dot reversible necklace and lace-up flats from (your 15 year old self will rejoice at this name...) Wet Seal for $15 #bargainista. I bring the JCrew cork clutch with me everywhere, I even had it monogram pressed in gold foil for a personal touch.

Now let's take a look at this hot pink cutie that I chose...
Let me tell ya about these sunnies, they are FANTASTIC! I don't know that I'll take them off all Spring/Summer. They're the Le Spec Le Debutante sunglasses in Tonal Brown, you can get them at Sunglasses Shop here. Y'all they're only $77 which I think is great for a quality pair of glasses, especially considering your average Ray-Bans are almost $200.

The rest of my look is composed of my Baublebar Bliss Earrings, JCrew Matchstick Jeans, Michael Kors Wedges (last season, but love these Tory Burch, these Jacks and these on sale for $60) and a simple white and gold clutch (similar high end, similar low end).

While thredUP sponsored this post, I picked these two capsule pieces and all opinions truly are my own.
PS: Do you guys like these fashion-y type posts? I feel super awk about taking the pics sometimes, but know that I love seeing them on other blogs. Just let me know! :)
